NU-ESL MAILING LIST FEATURES AND SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION:
The purpose of the NU-ESL electronic mailing list is to distribute information about Northwestern University ESL program services, and to encourage conversation, interaction, and exchange of information among members of the international community at Northwestern University. We welcome any topic of general interest for discussion, such as American culture, international relations, life in the university, information about apartments for rent and roommate matching, and any general request for information that subscribers may be able to answer.
Please post to the list only in English. If you would like to send a message in another language, send it in a private e-mail. Remember that these are public postings, meant to be read by all subscribers. Please keep your postings polite and relevant to your audience. Be aware that if you "reply" to a message from NU-ESL, that message will be sent to ALL subscribers. If you wish to reply only to the author of a message, make sure to send your reply only to his or her e-mail address.
To subscribe to the list, send an e-mail to: <listproc@listserv.it.northwestern.edu>. Please send your message from your Northwestern University e-mail account. Keep the subject heading of the message blank. Type the following request on the first line of the message: subscribe NU-ESL yourfirstname yourlastname.
For example: subscribe NU-ESL Mary Smith
To unsubscribe, send an e-mail to <listproc@listserv.it.northwestern.edu>. Keep the subject line blank. Be sure to send your message from the same account you used to subscribe to the listserv. Type the following request on the first line of the message: unsubscribe NU-ESL.
You will get a confirmation message indicating that you have successfully subscribed to or unsubscribed from the list.
